Cincy Home Chef

Fulfilling your dreams of a Personal Chef.
ABOUT
Hey there. My name is Jonas Armstrong and I am the owner and creator of Cincy Home Chef. I started my career as a soup chef in my kitchen at the age of 7. My parents raised me on a whole foods diet, emphasizing that food is our medicine and has a great affect on our overall health. I've always cooked at home- finding pleasure and passion in creating healthy, good tasting food to nourish my friends and family. After working in some great Cincinnati establishments (Otto's and Sotto),  I needed to find a place that adjusted to my life changes of having a new baby and beautful, gorgeous, brainiac goddess of a wife. I didn't want to compromise my skills of fine dining in a "lunch spot"- and at the time, there just weren't many option availble- So, in 2015, I turned my passion into a career by collaborting with my wife, an Ayurvedic practitioner, and becoming an in-home chef for some of her clients' families who wanted to eat healthy, gourmet food but couldn't find the time.

I am happy to announce that I am now expanding my business to help more families all around Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky by training chefs to do what I do- cook healthy meals for families at a reasonable price.

When I tell people I am an in-home, personal chef their response is usually, "Wow! I wish I could afford that. That would free up so much time for me to spend with my children". Well, lucky for you, it might not be as out of reach as you think- my company sends a chef to your house just once a week to prep up several meals and snacks of your chosing- making an in-home chef not a daily thing, but more of a weekly prep chef so there is enough healthy food prepared that it only takes you ten minutes to put a gourmet, home cooked meal on your table.  Most of my clients find they actually save money in the end by not having to order out food.  When you think of picking up food to feed a family of six it's suprisingly expensive (usually about $100 at a local pizzeria).

I specialize in healthy food, the Paleo diet, and Whole 30 recipes. But I also really enjoy cooking authentic Asian, Indian, and Mexican foods- I actually dream of opening a Brothery (a restaurant focused on Bone Broths and soups made with authentic Bone Broths).
